Email Templates

Communicating with your members at the right time is important. Mition by default does not send any emails to your members or staff, we allow each organisation to control the narrative and the frequency of emails to suit.

Email Templates can be used for:

- Welcome emails (including new website and initial password reset)
- Subscription welcome email
- Subscription renewals / expiry emails
- Subscription paid
- Adhoc emails (to one or more person)
- Bulk emails (newsletters / bulletins / alerts)

You can also set more than one email to go out automatically using auto-reminders, for a new subscription, you could send a different email every week for a year.

This video shows the email template editor and the auto-reminder system.

Note: The Subscription, Resource Booking and Event modules and Forms all have a welcome email selector within them; they allow you to pick published email templates from the Email Template editor.

Depending on the context of when/where this email will be sent from, there are often hints that you can use additional tags if you send an email in a section.

For example for Invoice Late reminders, you can use [InvoiceDetails]

For holiday homes you can use [BookingInfo] or [BookingInfoFull] (the latter includes instructions if there are any)

For events you can use the tag [EventDetails] if the email is a welcome email for the event or you are sending a reminder for the event via auto reminder.

[SubscriptionDetails] is also available in the context of sending a welcome email for a subscription OR via a reminder that deals with subscriptions.

These fields will otherwise be blank when sending from the main Bulk email editor, as the system does not know the context of which booking, event, subscription to send. So these fields are only populated during specific times (welcome emails from the modules) or auto reminders.
