Linked Web Component
This control allows you to create a web component on one page and easily place an exact copy of that web component on any other page AND it allows you to easily copy a web component to another page.
Linked
You can have it linked, in which case it will always reflect exactly what is in the master record (i.e. if someone changes the text or image on the master, it will change on all copies). To use this method, select Create a copy to here instead? = No.
Unlinked (Copy/Paste)
OR by setting the field Create a copy to here instead? to Yes saving, the contents of the master webpage will be copied to this web component, it is no longer a Linked Web Component it is now a copy of that web component and whatever type it was, e.g. a Text, Image or Hero.
How to find your component
Search for it: When selecting a linked web component, it will list every webpage / component in order of pages and component. So if you know you wanted the 1st Flipcard component on the Home page, you would find the Home Page and then find the first Flipcard component. This control is a type ahead control so use it to type in the webpage name or component type.
The fastest way to find a Web Component: go and find the Copy Anchor on the component wanting to be copied and then create a new Linked Web Component where you want it, paste the anchor code into the field that says "Select an existing Web component" and it will find that exact one.
